Scripture: Acts 28:11-31
Topic: Be Bold, Pray Bold
Focus Scripture: Acts 28:20 & 28
Paul has been through so much and we find him on his way to Rome. God was clearly directing Pauls path even in the way he was getting to and upon arriving in Rome. Paul allowed God to lead through every situation and he continued to show up in Pauls life, “When Paul saw them (talking about the brethren), he thanked God and took courage.” Paul was willing to give up everything, including his life to deliver the message of God. He understood the importance of walking out his faith in God. V20 “For this reason therefore I have called for you, so see you and speak with you, because for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.” God has called Paul to speak the gospel of Christ. He says I am committed and bound it it. To look beyond himself and his circumstances, so others could find salvation in Christ. V28 “Therefore let it be known to you that the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will hear it.”
Pauls love for God was evident in the way he lived his life. He simply couldn’t keep it do himself, but walked his life boldly spreading he gospel. Pauls boldness in life should give us courage in our mission of spreading the gospel. He understood the importance of it-as should we. There are so many lost in this world and we as believers have the hope and love of Christ that needs to be spread to them. As we live in this world, choose today not to just live in the world but to be set apart in the hope and love of Christ. Our Father is the light in this dark world and he has placed inside of us his light so others can find freedom in him. Choose today to step out into the Fathers arms and spread his love into this world.
Father, help us today to look to you, to walk boldly in your love, and walk out the mission you have set before us. In a dark world, you have set us apart to spread your love and hope to a dying world. Fill us with boldness and love that is evident in our daily lives. Help us to see through your eyes and fill us with your spirit so that we may see your goodness and mercy today. Teach us in every circumstance of life so we may carry out the mission set before us. Thank you for helping us to see you today. Amen.
