Water Baptism

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change. It's a public declaration that you're following Jesus. Baptism doesn't save you — it's a celebration of the salvation you've already received.

Jesus himself commanded baptism and was baptized to model it for us. Taking this step is an act of obedience — a visible way of showing that you've turned from your old life and are choosing to follow Christ.

Now. For everyone who decides to follow Jesus, baptism is the next step — there's no reason to wait until you feel "ready enough."

We wait until a child can express their own commitment to Jesus and understand what baptism means, rather than baptizing based on a parent's decision alone.

Baptisms in the Bible were by immersion, so that's how we practice it — going fully under the water. It pictures dying, being buried, and rising again with Christ into new life.

If you've already been baptized by immersion as an expression of your faith in Jesus, there's no need to be baptized again.
